Foran Grade Ridge
A very wet hike with some rain and some snow

Last year, I hiked this trail at right about the same time, and it was bright and autumnal, with lots of golden aspen leaves. We also got lucky with sun and blue sky.
This year, the fall was going much more slowly, and everything was still fully green. Unfortunately, that was helped by the mix of rain and snow that fell on us.
Due to the poor conditions, we just hiked up the east side, had lunch at the top of the ridge, and then returned the same way, rather than looping along the river.

Starting off through the aspens.

We reach snow as we ascend the slope.

A snowy, foggy ridgeline.

Following the trail up the ridge.

Still raining at the end of the hike.
