This is a very straightforward hike. It follows the lakeshore and rolls up and down along the way.

We followed the trail which was in excellent early-season condition up and over the big hill, and then had lunch along the lakeside.

The Cascade River near the start.

Starting in the forest.

Hiking uphill through the old burn.

Lake Minnewanka from the trail.
