Canmore Highline Trail

We hiked the medium Highline route, skipping the west edge which still does not connect on the low trail.
Total of 9.4km, with 2 hours and 40 minutes moving time.

The Canmore Highline Trail is a rolling traverse on the hillside overlooking the town of Canmore. There are a few different connections one can use to make a loop.
It's a great trail for the early spring, and is hikeable fairly early, even despite the north fave.
This trip, the trail itself was snowfree and dry, but many of the gullies were still full of avalanche snow and debris for the winter, which was neat to check out.

The trail starts from Quarry Lake.

Looking back down to Quarry Lake from the Highline.

The trail crosses a mostly emptied-out gully.

Another gully is still full of avalanche snow to cross.

Looking down the gully, the amount of debris stands out.

A look up the gully.
