High Noon Hills

We took the normal route across the first two hilltops, then had lunch in the eastern valley, and returned back over the same hills.

The High Noon Hills hike is an official trail across some aspen foothills above the Sheep River..
It's a great trip in the spring when everything is green and the plants are coming up, though also nice with summer flowers.

The first hill from the meadow near the start.

Hiking through the aspens and poplars to the first hilltop.

The first hilltop.

Looking back along the ridge from near the second hill.

The other group hikes down the second hill ahead of us.

Switchbacking down the second hill (no trail here).

We reach another trail in the valley bottom.

The other group continues a little further for lunch.
