Upper Kananaskis Lake

We were scheduled to snowshoe Upper Kananaskis Lake, which is a very low-risk area, but ended up with an extremely high-risk day.
It was the first break after piles of storm snow, and the avy risk was high. We ended up doing an unusual loop to stay out of the way of any and all possible danger.
This was probably unnecessary in this extremely safe terrain, but it certainly didn't hurt, and we had a good trip.
Not so for the two men who made a series of poor choices and didn't get lucky at Burstall Pass on the same day.
