Deer Ridge and beyond

Deer Ridge is an easy front-range trail that is great for shoulder season, and often snow-free in the winter.
We hiked the Deer Ridge loop clockwise on a dreary day, and attempted to continue to the Eagle Hill trail.
We had trouble determining the route, and the snow was deeper in the marshy area, so we ended up just turning around.
Unfortunately, I was still without a camera, so I have just a couple crappy cell phone photos to show the conditions.

The cutline that returns to the valley trail.

The eastern part of of the trail which gets sun.

Finishing up back near Sibbald Lake.
