Storm Mountain Ridge
A confused attempt at Mist Mountain put us to a ridge partway up Storm Mountain.

We intended to summit Mist Mountain, but took the wrong trail out of the parking lot.
Partway up, we manged to determine we were in fact on the scramble route up Storm mountain, and went for that instead.
We only made it to a ridge maybe halfway up, but it was a good hike to there.

The trail climbs aggressively from the roadside, quickly gaining 200m through the only forest of the day.

Heading up the first wall.

Nathan, Laurier, and everyone else hike above highway 40.

Shortly, we break treeline, and open into a grassy cirque, following a small creek to the back.

At the back of the cirque, we headed up the left wall of rock and scree, to crest a SW facing ride.

Back wall of the cirque - we turn left.

Not everyone enjoyed the terrain, so we headed back down from the ridge.
